Gomez de Liano of Gilas is eager to learn from the best in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2022
Juan Gomez de Liano is ecstatic that he has been able to remain faithful throughout his life since it has enabled him to realize his lifetime desire of traveling the world while playing basketball.

Now, he is, and a big reason for that is because he made the decision to go back home. In the PBA Development League, he competed with Marinerong Pilipino and finally won the Most Valuable Player award after averaging 18.2 points, 8.3 rebounds, 5.9 assists, and 1.4 steals per game.
And that accomplishment ended up being the key that opened the door for him to this opportunity in Lithuania.
“A lot of times I was doubting myself… that maybe my foreign ambition was just that, a dream,” he added. “It took me a long time to get over that.” After I was given the Greatest Valuable Player award, I received interest from a few different club teams; however, the BC Wolves actually showed the most interest.
