IWBF Men’s Under-23 World Championship in Phuket will crown new champions
In Phuket, Thailand, the Men’s Under-23 World Championship of the International Wheelchair Basketball Federation (IWBF) will begin tomorrow. Since Britain, the defending champion, will not be competing, a new champion will be announced.

There are going to be twelve teams competing in the junior tournament, and the first game is going to be between Brazil and Canada, who have won the championship twice already.
The Opening Ceremony is planned to take place a day later, and immediately after that, the champions of the Africa zone will take vs the hosts of the tournament, Thailand.
The championship match is scheduled to take place at the Sports Complex of the Prince of Songkla University on September 16, marking the conclusion of the competition.
The top four teams in each of the two groups of six will advance to the quarterfinals of the competition.
As countries that have previously held this title, the United States of America, Germany, and Canada should all be considered to be strong candidates for the award.
Group A consists of Canada and France in addition to Brazil, Spain, Japan, and Turkey, all of whom have previously won the silver medal.
Group B consists of the United States of America, Germany, and Australia, who have previously competed in and won the bronze medal in four out of the six iterations of this competition.
There is additional representation from Israel, Thailand, and South Africa within that group.
