Summer training with the national team improves the superstars for FIBA Basketball World Cup 2022
The NBA regular season has begun. Additionally, several of the finest players in the world improved this summer while competing for their respective countries. On August 25 in Belgrade, Serbia defeated Antetokounmpo and Greece in the European Qualifiers for the FIBA Basketball World Cup in front of a boisterous crowd. In the 100-94 OT victory, he finished with 29 points, eight rebounds, and six assists.
Even more impressive was Antetokounmpo’s performance, which included 40 points, eight rebounds, and five assists.
Antetokounmpo’s games in these series were not simple. At the EuroBasket, when Greece won all of their games until losing to the host nation Germany in the Quarterfinals, he encountered crowded lanes all summer long.
The Milwaukee Bucks talisman who won back-to-back NBA MVP awards before Jokic will improve by playing against various defenses in the competitive matches of the EuroBasket.
What was Antetokounmpo’s experience that you found most compelling? He was feeling things.
Antetokounmpo, who was chosen for the EuroBasket All-Star Five, posted on Instagram: “this season. this group. this t-shirt. this banner. made me rediscover my love for basketball. We fulfilled our word and offered our all.”
After leading Slovenia to a fourth-place finish at the Summer Games and helping them qualify for the Olympics in Tokyo, Doncic competed for Slovenia’s national team once again this summer
He took part in both of the European Qualifiers’ windows, as well as the team’s whole campaign for the EuroBasket.
Playing for the national team forced him to face new obstacles, which will be to his advantage when he plays for the Dallas Mavericks in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is already considered to be one of the top players in the world, with Jokic and Antetokounmpo.
In Germany, where all of Slovenia’s EuroBasket games were held, he identified the areas in which he was required the most on a game-by-game basis and adjusted his performance accordingly.
Doncic only took 25 shots in the first two games against Lithuania and Hungary, instead serving as the orchestra’s conductor. He had ten assists against the former and seven against the latter, both triumphs for Slovenia.
Doncic scored a lot against France in a game Slovenia needed to win to claim first place.
He took 23 shots and 12 free throws. When it was all said and done, he’d scored 47 points, which had never been done in the EuroBasket’s contemporary era.
